Cataloguing some stuff the other day I came across a jewellery maker by the name of Peter Tully. unfortunately I can't find a website for him but here's a little bit of biographical info

He has a modern Australiana theme to his pieces, bringing artist inspiration such as Pollock and Cristo into small wearable items.
The pieces look absolutely up to date despite being produced over 15 years ago.

I really love the little Cristo brooch, to me it's a bit jokey, but that's what's charming about it since I'm probably not the biggest fan of Cristo's work. Seeing his epic work miniaturised is something that gives me a bit of satisfaction haha, (if you're not familiar with it, Cristo loves to wrap up massive structures and landmarks in fabric and string).

Please also check out the Brett Whiteley website. It is the most amazing website for a most amazing, interesting artist.

For digital sweeties visit photoshop disasters, nice to see people making stupid mistakes for us to laugh at, I do love a bit of smug!

So this is a work in progress. I don't usually paint with oils.. i don't think I've ever use oils on a canvas....but man oh man I love the way it goes on. Maybe i was just inhaling too much turps, but I really enjoyed it.

I HATE her chin
It's by no means finished, I'm thinking of scrapping it and starting again. I don't like her face at all, but I'll try work it. I want to see what I'm learning.

Also.
Please watch this vid. I saw a demo the creators did of how this game works a while ago... I really really really want to give it a go

I haven't been posting terribly much lately, I am working on getting some shirt designs and a little company set up so I can sell awesome things to awesome people.

Then there's the below which has been frustrating me to the point where I don't want to do anything:

it all sucks a bum really!! grrr

If you have any good tutorials for the above please let me know!

I also have the most massive pain in my neck from my dumb old pillow.

I was really pleased to see a decent sized article about Stunt

Every image looks amazing and the articles are short but succinct.

MY SHIRTS ARE MADE!!!

http://www.decibelclothing.com.au

I have been talking to the lovely Jason who runs a small clothing label that he's trying to get off the ground, and he accepted one of my designs (hopeully more to come) to sell.

$10 out of each shirt sold goes to yours truly, but it's really just wonderful to think there'll be something I've helped make for purchase!
Even if they sit in a box for the rest of their lives I'm still stoked!
So if you dudes like them buy them!
Jason uses American Apparel to print on so you can rest assured they'll be good quality clothes.

I've received my own shirt and it's AWESOME really well printed and the design is a decent size, I LOVE IT!!

Thank you so much to the wonderful lovely Claire L for all her wonerfullness!!

This looks much better in black and white since my scanner is awful for scanning anything in colour. I may have to save my pennies for a new one. hmph.
I need art partner. Thankfully, scott and I might be arranging some small assignments for ourselves to get back into the drawing mood. I wish I wasn't so embarrassed talking about art. Most of the time I feel I have no right to talk about my own art in a positive light.... that's kind of odd

So these are actually really amazing instructional clips, aptly named 'you suck at photoshop'.
While being totally hilarious, they also provide you with great tips and tricks for working in photoshop. I recommend you subscribe to the You tube channel and catch all the episodes!

Scribbled in pen at my desk at work
I think I like the idea of animal head shots.

My tummy is full of chocolate and we are watching "the others".

I am wondering whether if I actually sat down and did some proper, fleshed out drawings, would you buy a print? Yes? No?
